One tradition that every Israeli won’t miss on Yom Ha’atzmaut is the “Al Ha’esh.” The literal translation is “on fire,” and the actual tradition is barbeque. This year we want you to have your own Al Ha’esh at home. Here’s how:

1. Choose a spot in your backyard or balcony & light the bbq (the ESH) Cook, dance, eat & celebrate!
2. Eat steak, chicken wings, thighs, lamb kebabs, felafel, hummus & salads, and don’t forget the charred eggplant!
3. Check out our fb page and instagram (@zc_nsw) for recipe inspiration specially made by an Israeli celebrity chef.
4. Post photos of your BBQ/Esh at home and use the hashtag #alhaesh on facebook & instagram.
